A native of nearby Clover, SC, Matt graduated from Clover High School, followed by the University of South Carolina, where he earned a BA degree in sociology with a minor in criminal justice.

Matt’s professional career has provided him with a plethora of experience in a variety of fields, including small business management, operations management, and sales.

Matt joined Peoples First in 2017. Their unique, consultative, and holistic approach to risk management for both the commercial client and the individual is what ultimately led Matt to pursue a career with the company.

Matt has been married to his high school sweetheart, Cameron, since 2011. They live in Lake Wylie, along with their son Cooper and two dogs, Zoey and Mitzi. Outside of the office, Matt is an avid supporter of South Carolina Gamecocks athletics, attending their sporting events all over the southeast. He is also a lifelong Carolina Panthers fan. Matt is a current board member and a past president of the Lake Wylie Rotary Club, which he remains active in.
